I spent 31 years traveling the east and I’m surprised at my lack of spice choices here in the States. I ventured from the cold mountains of Kilimanjaro through the valleys of Chin Hi province with famed French/Mongolian explorer Lieutenant General Jean-Pierre ‘Long Oar’ Wong-Merkin and I experienced so many unique flavors that I now miss them terribly.
I started mixing my own spices and I think a place as sophisticated as Dean & Deluca would be perfect to introduce an exotic line of spices and condiments. What do you think?
Things such as dried cricket wing, scorpion venom, spider foot hair, hummingbird embryo husk, seahorse cream, red ant thorax, beetle juice, hornet butter, grasshopper legs, cicada larva powder, cockroach eggs, monkfish scales, crispy locust shell, sloth dandruff, caterpillar skin flakes and lady bug pepper.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m sure your many Asian consumers would be wholeheartedly behind this idea.
If you’d like me to send samples of my spices, please let me know. I’ve made a fresh batch of ground black water beetle, dried salmon retina and huge sack of spicy centipede legs should be done marinating in a few days.
I realize the names could be a turn off, so perhaps you can call them things like ‘sunshine flakes’ or ‘tangy powder.’
Let me know where to send samples. Thanks!

I’m a HUGE fan of your Whips! I seriously can’t get enough of them and I may be addicted. I don’t think it’s as serious as seeing a doctor, but it’s pretty close.
About 5 months ago a woman at the grocery store was going for the last Lemon Blast Whip and I broke her arm trying to get it for myself. I didn’t mean to do it. It was seriously an accident! I threw a box of frozen peas at her hand and her radius shattered like a well-cooked chicken bone. Honest mistake.
Now I can’t seem to find Lemon Blast Whips anywhere in the stores! Have you discontinued this item? I can’t believe that you would discontinue such a delicious item, so I’ll pretend that you didn’t do such a thing.
Where are my Lemon Blast Whips? I need them. My psychiatrist can’t find them in the store either, and she lives a few towns over, so I know I’m not crazy.
Dear Mrs. Frillman:
Thank you for contacting Yoplait regarding the availability of Yoplait Whips lemon burst yogurt.
We would like to see all our products on shelves in every store. However, as the number of items on the market increases, grocers face the dilemma of finding sufficient shelf space to display products. Retailers stock the products and brand choices they feel best meet the majority of their customers′ needs.
We do offer an online product locator, which you may find helpful in finding this product in your area.
